Crosslink Appoints New CEO for Next-Stage Growth |
Charles Jongeward brings global commercialization experience |
ST. LOUIS?(Aug. 29, 2006)?Crosslink (www.crosslinkusa.com), a leader in commercial applications utilizing electroactive polymers, today announced Charles (Chuck) Jongeward as its chief executive officer. Jongeward assumes this new role today and will quickly add momentum to commercialization activities, growing Crosslink's top line.
Former CEO Brent St. John led Crosslink for the past seven years, developing world-class scientific and management teams, and solidifying the company's IP position with the most comprehensive conductive polymer portfolio. Recognizing the need to propel Crosslink beyond the startup phase, St. John initiated the search for his replacement. St. John will remain actively involved as majority shareholder and board chairman.
Jongeward most recently was founder and managing principal of Life Science Strategy Partners, where he provided consulting services to life science technology organizations. As CEO at Inprint Systems, Ltd, he righted the company's fiscal performance, restoring its competitive industry position. Prior to that, he orchestrated a strategic and financial turnaround of an $840 million global business for Surfactants and Specialties, Ltd., a division of Rhone-Poulenc S.A.
?With 30 years experience in the chemical industry, Chuck has a strong track record of commercial success with companies large and small,? said Brent St. John. ?He is the right person to match Crosslink's technology to the most promising commercial markets and opportunities. I am fully confident he will take Crosslink into the next phase of growth.?
Jongeward earned a bachelor's of science with honors in agricultural distribution and economics from Western Michigan University in 1975. From there, he received extensive continued education from many of America's leading business academic institutions, including Columbia University, Duke University, Harvard Business School, Purdue University, University of Illinois, University of Michigan and Wharton Graduate School. Charles received further business training at the European Industry School of Business.
