ST. LOUIS (October 18, 2006) - Crosslink, a leader in commercial applications utilizing electroactive polymer materials, today announced the addition of Jill Simpson as the company's director of business development. Supporting Crosslink's focus on commercial applications for its technology, Simpson brings significant experience in sales and marketing of new chemical products, particularly in display, electronic components, packaging and flexible electronics markets.
"We're very pleased to welcome Jill to the Crosslink team, and recognize her wealth of experience in the conductive polymer market as an asset to both our company and our clients," said Jeremy K. Jones, vice president of business development for Crosslink. "The combination of Jill's background as a chemist with her expertise in some of our key target markets makes her an ideal addition for accelerating the launch of several new products."
With significant knowledge of electronic chemicals, Simpson has worked to stimulate and strengthen commercial awareness of conductive polymer product lines. Simpson's work appears in the 'Handbook of Conducting Polymers,' third edition, which is currently being printed. For the handbook, she contributed a review article reporting on the scientific importance, properties and applications of PEDOT.
Among many professional activities, Simpson is a member of the advisory committee for the Seminar on the Technology of Inherently Conductive Polymers.
